Dr. Richard Craig
Dr. Richard Craig
is
a 1972 University of Illinois Dentistry graduate with a Post Doctorate Degree from the
University of Chicago. He is the founder of Shorewood Family Dental
Care which was established in 1974. Dr. Craig is a member of the
American Dental Association, the Illinois Dental Society, and the Will
County Dental Society. He is presently on the advisory board of the
George Werden Buck Boys Club of Joliet and the Will-Grundy Health
Clinic. He also donates his time to the Will-Grundy free clinic, and is
a past board member of the American Cancer Society.
Dr. Craig
has received
6 patents
related to products designed to improve infection control in dentistry,
and has lectured extensively throughout the United States on that
subject. He was a consultant for the United States Military and has
helped OSHA make instructional videos on proper infection control in
dental offices. He has been interviewed both on national and
international television about his work on infection control, and has
been the author of numerous articles related to his studies. Dr. Craig
was commended in the House of Commons in England for his work. He has
also been a consultant for many dental manufacturers throughout the
United States to help make their products safer.
Dr. Craig truly
believes that everyone can maintain a beautiful smile for a lifetime and
that, through preventative measures, dental care can be kept to a minimum.
He is dedicated to helping his patients achieve their goals.
Dr. Craig lives
in Joliet with his wife Robin. They have three older children (Melaney,
Scott, and Marilee) and their dog Bandit. When he is not busy at work, Dr.
Craig loves to partake in outdoor sports of all kinds.
