"When should my child first see a dentist?" |
| We know that the ADA is recommending children to see a dentist 6 months after the eruption of the first tooth, which usually is around age 1. We have found children at this age are really too young and we recommend the first dental visit closer to age 3. Parents can bring in a toddler with an older brother or sister or with a parent during a cleaning, and we can sit them in the chair and just count their teeth to see how they do, and if they are ready. |
